Location: Acme hostel is located 50 meters away from Nevsky prospect on Sadovaya street – it’s one of the major Saint Petersburg thoroughfares , which begins near the Field of Mars, crosses the Moika River, passing through the historic city center and ends at the junction of the Griboyedov Canal and the Fontanka River. The closest tourist attractions are the Arts’ Square, the Russian museum, Kazan Cathedral, Savoir on the Blood cathedral, Summer Garden. It will take you 15 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by public transport to get to the Hermitage museum, the Palace square, the Admiralty, the Bronze Horseman, the St.Isaac’s Cathedral and Square, the Peter-and-Paul Fortress. The Sadovaya street is served by several stations of the Saint Petersburg Metro: Gostiny Dvor (5 minute walk from the hostel), Sennaya Ploshchad /Spasskaya and Sadovaya (15 minutes walk from the hostel). The guests may also take a 10 minute walk along Nevsky prospect to Kanal Griboedova metro station or to Mayakovskaya. Pulkovo 1 (domestic flights) and Pulkovo 2 (international flights) airports are about 20km’s away, about a 40-60 minute drive, given the traffic gems. Moscow Railway station, providing convenient long distance rail connections, is easily accessible in 15 minutes on public transport.

The exact address is Sadovaya Street, 11 and the entrance to the “Acme” hostel is from the street. Walking along Nevsky prospect towards Admiralty and Palace square, come to the junction of Nevsky and Sadovaya street and turn to the right. Now you are on Sadovaya street with numerous cafes and restaurants. Go straight along the street on its odd-numbered side to the house 11, guided by the sign boards of “Hairshop”. This small shop is situated on the ground floor, while the “Acme” hotel - on the 4th floor of this 5-storey building (without an elevator). There are a few steps up – and to the right you’ll see the shop entrance, while the white building door, leading to the hostel, will be in front of you. Press the Acme hotel button (video-security system), push the door, go upstairs to the 4th and find the dark brown door with the "Acme Hostel Reception" sign. Thus you enter the hotel. Welcome!
Services and Facilities: Acme hostel’s goal is to make an accommodation that is not only central and cheap but also convenient and helpful for all backpackers and budget travelers. We offer our guests 5 well-furnished and cosy dormitories all with comfortable mattresses & pillows. There is one 10-bed room – mixed dorm, one 8-bed room – mixed dorm, one 6-bed room – mixed dorm, two 4-bed rooms – male / female dorm. All in all the Acme hostel can accommodate 32 guests. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Each room is equipped with bunk beds (a single bed on top and a single bed below), wardrobe, table, chairs, carpet/laminate flooring. Dorm Beds have personal reading lights, under-bed lockers (bring your own lock) and all the linens & towels you need for your stay (free of charge)!
Ironing facilities & hair-dryer are provided upon request (deposit required). All bathrooms are shared: there are 2 common bathrooms (gender specific) down the corridor, each containing individual shower cubicles, several wash basins and a washing machine (use for free) and 4 individual toilet cubicles with small washbasins. Each bathroom is supplied with soap and toilet paper. There’s cosy lounge area with television, free games, magazines etc. Residents are able to cook their meals 24 hours a day - the adjoining kitchen area features a stove, microwaves, toasters, a fridge, kettles, a sink, china and cutlery. Breakfast is not included in price. The Acme hostel boasts a sauna zone (sauna, a sitting area and a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet) as well: for a small fee you can enjoy and be healthy afterwards. Free WiFi 24/7. |
