This one-room apartment is located on the 1st floor of a 4-storey building just a 15-minute walk from Chernyshevskaya metro station on Shpalernaya Ulitsa, which is chiefly remarkable for its bronze statue of Felix Dzerzhinsky (the founder of the Soviet secret police) and the Kikin Mansion – a modest Baroque country house, which used to belong to the head of Admiralty Alexander Kikin.
