One of the stations of Moskovsko-Petrogradskaya Linia - the second line of Petersburg metro, constructed in 1961, that run from northern city parts (Vyborgsky District) to the southern districts (Moskovsky District and Kupchino). 27,9 km long, the Linia which is assigned Blue on the map consists of 17 station - Prospect Prosveshenia, Ozerki, Ydelnaya, Pionerskaya, Chernaya Rechka, Petrogradskaya, Gorkovskaya, Nevsky Prospect, Sennaya Ploschad, Tekhnologichesky Institut, Frunzenskaya, Moskovskie Vorota, Electrosila, Park Pobedy, Moskovskaya, Zvezdnaya, Kupchino. The Tekhnologichesky Institut station, opened in 1961, is situated on the junction of Zagorodny prospect and Moskovsky prospect just opposite The Sate Institute of Technology hence the name of the station. The station was constructed to the projects of architects A.M.Pribulsky, A.Macheret and V.V.Gankevich.
