One of the stations of Nevsko-Vasileostrovskaya Linia - the shortest line of Petersburg metro (20,6 km) that, running under the Nevsky prospect, comes from the western city part (Vasileostrovsky District) to the south-western part of the city (Nevsky District). The Line, which is assigned Green on the map, consists of 10 stations of functional design, 6 of them built on the “horizontal lift” principle - Primorskaya, Vasileostrovskaya, Gostiny Dvor, Mayakovskaya, Ploschad Alexandra Nevskogo I, Lomonosovskaya, Elizarovskaya, Proletarskaya, Obuhovo, Rybatskoe. Constructed according to the “horizontal lift” principle, Elizarovskaya station was constructed in 1970 on the junction of Babushkina Street and Elizarova Street (hence the name of the station) according to the project of architects A.K.Komaldinov, I.I. Komaldinova, A.S.Getskin, V.P.Shuvalova.
